President Peres in the Lion’s Den

In the US, Holocaust denial is recognised as a form of hate.  Because incitement to hatred is protected under the First Amendment, Congress cannot pass laws to prevent it. Facebook, on the other hand can and does prohibit the use of their service to promote hate. As a private company it has that right. By refusing to accept that Holocaust denial is a form of hate, Facebook lends legitimacy to the deniers and strikes against a human rights consensus.Facebook, which bans pictures of breast feeding mothers, does not need to make the hurdles so high when it comes to the hatred of Jews.
...not to mention I'd like my facebook graffiti back from the facebook profiles that were deleted because facebook decided to censor my artwork when feminists complained about the nudity in my art. Yeah... I live by Vassar college.

North Korea conducted nuclear warhead tests for Iran

(Israel Hayom h/t Allyson Christy) ‎"Evidence of the nuclear tests was first published early last month in Nature magazine, citing the work of Swedish nuclear physicist Lars-Erik de Geer.
De Geer detected the presence of radioisotopes which revealed that there had been a uranium bomb explosion in North Korea, the Nature report said. “North Korea may have conducted two covert nuclear weapons tests in 2010, according to a fresh analysis of radioisotope data,” the report said.
News of the test, Nature said, “might also explain a bizarre statement issued by North Korea’s state news agency in May 2010, which said that the country had achieved nuclear fusion. The news was largely ridiculed in the South Korean and Western media — but it was not so quickly dismissed by the small circle of experts who devote their careers to ident...ifying covert nuclear tests.”
According to Ruhle, North Korea would likely not have kept mum on the tests if Pyongyang was testing its own nuclear weapons. He adds that while the country’s previous tests included bombs containing a plutonium core, the 2010 tests seemed to have used enriched uranium.
Ruhle concludes the reason for this is probably that North Korea carried out the nuclear tests for a “foreign entity” which in this case, he says, is Iran." - Israel Hayom report

58% say it is more important to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, even if it means taking military action, 51% of Americans want US to stay neutral if Israel attacks Iran

You can set up that data how you like it.
Do most Americans think that a nuclear Iran has nothing to do with them and will have no effect on their lives?
(Carl) About half of Americans (51%) say the U.S. should stay neutral if Israel attacks Iran's nuclear facilities to prevent it from developing a weapon. Nearly four-in-ten (39%) say the U.S. should support Israel, while just 5% say the U.S. should oppose military action.
There is a wide divide among Republicans on the issue of Iran. Fully 71% of conservative Republicans think the U.S. should support Israel's military action if they attack Iran, compared with 43% of moderate and liberal Republicans. A majority of independents and Democrats (including both liberal and more moderate Democrats) think the U.S. should stay neutral.
Or maybe they just want the US to do the job.
While most Americans want the U.S. to stay neutral if Israel attacks Iran, the public supports tough measures -- including the possible use of military force -- to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Nearly six-in-ten (58%) say it is more important to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons, even if it means taking military action. Just 30% say it is more important to avoid a military conflict with Iran, even if it means that country develops nuclear weapons. These opinions are little changed from October 2009. The pipeline has made Bar Mitzvah

The pipeline which carries gas from Egypt to Israel and Jordan was blown up on Monday, for the 13th time in the past year.

(Israel Survival Updates)According to a BBC report, the blasts happened near the town of el-Arish in the north of the Sinai desert, sending flames high into the air, witnesses said.
The Egyptian gas pipeline provides 43 percent of Israel’s natural gas. The explosion could lead to disruptions in the supply of gas, as has happened following similar explosions in the past.

'Starving' Gazans export food to Judea and Samaria

Labels: » »
(Carl) It's been a while since we heard that the 'Palestinians' in Gaza are starving. And with good reason. The Gazans are now wealthy enough that they are exporting food to the 'Palestinians' in Judea and Samaria.
United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Monday helped transfer pallets of fortified date bars from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank through Israeli crossing ports, a WFP press release said.
This is the first batch of a total of 140 tons of locally-produced date bars (or 19 truckloads) that will be used in WFP's school feeding distributions in the West Bank, it added.
'This transfer from Gaza to the West Bank is the first of its kind since the inception of the blockade in 2007 and hopefully more will follow in order to support children learning and school assistance and concomitantly help boost the private sector and support a productive economy in Gaza', says Pablo Recalde, WFP Country Director in the occupied Palestinian territory.
WFP was previously purchasing all date bar requirements for school feeding in Egypt or in Turkey until a factory was identified in the Gaza Strip. The factory has the capacity to supply the needed quantities at a competitive price and meeting WFP quality standards.
These date bars are already used in the Gaza Strip school feeding program and will now be used in the West Bank as well, where WFP assists 75,000 school children in 292 schools in the most food insecure areas, notably in Israeli-controlled Area C, Seam Zone and Bedouin communities.
Oh, wait. They were wealthy enough to do this before too, weren't they? It's just that they wouldn't do it with Israel around. But I wouldn't eat those date bars anyway. They're probably full of worms

Two of Breitbart's closest colleagues were Orthodox Jews

Labels: » » » »
I'm not Orthodox. But I'm also a Jew from Westwood. I went to University High by UCLA. I once apparently met Arianna Huffington at a party. I know some people who I am close with who didn't like him. I didn't know him, he was my friend on facebook. The person who didn't like him didn't like me very much either and the other friend who had issues with him as well... so I think I was correct in never attacking him or listening to the stories of people who were reliable sources in other situations. I do admit there were things he posted that were really good, that I avoided posting because I knew it would piss off some people. I knew that he was big enough that I was lucky that I could claim he was a friend on facebook... but I have to be honest... people would tell me if I posted him I was promoting a really bad guy. I never saw any reason to believe he was a bad guy. His online persona I never disagreed with. I kind of feel that he is a hero for really fighting for Israel, but I have to be honest... he was murdered by words. The people at Think Progress and Media Matters turned him into a slur campaign when they were complaining about Israel Firsters. I was watching this on twitter. I felt troubled because I couldn't really defend him because of other people I knew who really hated him and were good in other ways. The online scene is really awful and some people who are 100% right in every way on their blogs are really horrendous individuals. Andrew obviously died not by natural causes, but it was death by MEDIA... it's almost like a Paddy Chayefsky film.

(Carl)Benny Weinthal has a tribute to Andrew Breitbart z"l, who passed away last week at the age of 43. (Hat Tip: All American Blogger).
Breitbart not only carved out a new mixture of investigative journalism, combining the mediums of video and the microblogging website Twitter with huge scoops, he was slated to start a Big Jerusalem website to fight the seemingly endless mainstream media distortions of the Jewish state.
Adopted by a Jewish family in Los Angeles, Breitbart equated the preservation of liberty and freedom in the US with safeguarding liberties and security in the Jewish state. “Israel is in the right” and “If Israel goes, so will America,” he said during a lively speech last year at a meeting of Republican Jewish Coalition in Beverly Hills.
In this speech, Breitbart said of Israelis: “I just don’t understand how an inherently decent and free people could be the bad guy... This doesn’t make sense to me...
I’m glad I’ve become a journalist because I’d like to fight on behalf on the Israeli people...I’ve been there. And the Israeli people, I adore and I love.”
I asked Breitbart’s colleague Joel B. Pollak – editor- in-chief and general counsel for Breitbart’s online media empire, which publishes the websites Breitbart.com, Breitbart.tv, Big Government, Big Journalism, Big Hollywood and Big Peace – to tell me about Breitbart and his relationship with Israel and Judaism. He emailed me on Friday: “Andrew only visited Israel once, a few years ago, but instantly fell in love with the country and its people.”
“He was the best kind of Jew and human being you could ever meet, one who created opportunities for people in whom he saw a spark – which Maimonides called the highest form of charity,” Pollak wrote. “He carried his faith as he carried all his convictions: with a lighthearted touch but a deep commitment.”
...
Pollak wrote about how that life and fire extended to Judaism: “Andrew was proudly, and playfully, Jewish. In the last days of his life he wondered openly about observing Shabbat, even as he continued to tease me about not eating bacon and shrimp cocktails. More than once he burst into a Hebrew school song or parts of his bar mitzva portion while working at his desk across from mine – partly to amuse me and partly to entertain himself.”
“He often told an amusing story about meeting Idan Raichel [an Israeli singer-songwriter] in a restaurant where he had been dining with fellow conservative bloggers, and how surprised and inspired they were that the lanky, dreadlocked musician was an ardent and natural patriot,” he said.
“Andrew rejected the knee-jerk liberalism of the Jewish community in which he had been raised but never felt distant from his fellow Jews, no matter what background, and two of his closest colleagues were both Orthodox Jews whose levels of observance both amused and intrigued him.”
“We had a common Jewish kinship even though we lived our lives rather differently and I can say confidently that I’ve never met a finer soul, Jewish or otherwise,” Pollak continued.
Pollak, who ran for Congress in Illinois against J Street Jan Shakowsky in 2010, is one of the Orthodox Jews. I don't know who the other one is. I hope someone is making sure that Breitbart's kids get a Jewish education and that someone is taking any sons to shul to say Kaddish.
Here's a video tribute to Breitbart. Let's go to the videotape

Revealed: Barack Obama's gay transgender prostitute nanny who 'cracked him up trying on his mother's lipstick' | Mail Online

President Barack ObamaEvie
But Evie doesn't stand a chance to see the lives of transgenders like herself improve because the left is busy attacking the West and catering to the whims of Islamic pride. Meanwhile the Left beats it's drum in America about Gay Marriage... but they leave their gay housekeeper to squalor. So this is liberalism in a nutshell... little gay brown people... not important. Taking the rights away from Heterosexuals in America... that's important to the progressives.
(dailymail.co.uk) Barack Obama's former nanny has been revealed as a gay transgender man who made the future president laugh by trying on his mother's lipstick.
'Evie' cared for the boy she called Barry when his mother Ann Dunham moved to the Indonesian capital of Jakarta in the late 1960s.
Openly gay, she would leave the house dressed in full drag - but was very careful that Barack never saw her.
'He was so young and I never let him see me wearing women's clothes,' Evie said. 'But he did see me trying on his mother's lipstick, sometimes. That used to really crack him up.'

The nanny, who turned to prostitution after the family left and now lives in a slum, met the future commander-in-chief's mother at a cocktail party in 1969.
Dunham, who had moved to the country two years earlier with her second husband Lolo Soetoro, sampled Evie's beef steak and fried rice and was so impressed that she offered her a job.
It did not take long before she was also eight-year-old Barack's carer, playing with him and bringing him to and from school.
Neighbours recalled they often saw Evie, who believes she is really a woman, leave the house in the evening fully made up and dressed in drag.
But when the family left in the early 1970s, things started going downhill. Evie moved in with a boyfriend. That relationship ended three years later, and she became a sex worker.
She said: 'I tried to get a job as a maid, but no one would hire me. I needed money to buy food, get a place to stay.'
Poverty: Evie has suffered taunts and beatings throughout her entire life. She now lives in a tiny hut in a Jakarta slum

It was a cat-and-mouse game with security guards and - because the country was still under the dictatorship of General Suharto - soldiers.
They often rounded up 'banshees' or 'warias', as they are known locally, loaded them into trucks, and brought them to a field where they were kicked, hit and otherwise abused.

INDONESIA'S 'COMPLEX' ATTITUDE TO TRANSGENDERS

Indonesia's attitude toward transgenders is complex.
Nobody knows how many of them live in the sprawling nation of 240million, but activists estimate seven million.
Because Indonesia is home to more Muslims than any other country in the world, the pervasiveness of men who live as women and vice versa often catches newcomers by surprise.
They hold the occasional pageant, work as singers or at salons and include well-known celebrity talk show host Dorce Gamalama.
But societal disdain still runs deep - when transgenders act in TV comedies, they are invariably the brunt of the joke.
They have taken a much lower profile in recent years, following a series of attacks by Muslim hard-liners.
And the country's highest Islamic body has decreed that they are required to live as they were born because each gender has obligations to fulfil, such as reproduction.
'They must learn to accept their nature,' says Ichwan Syam, a prominent Muslim cleric at the influential Indonesian Ulema Council.
'If they are not willing to cure themselves medically and religiously' they have 'to accept their fate to be ridiculed and harassed'.
Many transgenders turn to prostitution because jobs are hard to find and because they want to live according to what they believe is their true gender.
In doing so, they put themselves at risk of contracting AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
The raid that changed everything came in 1985.

Evie and her friends scattered into dark alleys to escape the swinging batons. One particularly beautiful girl, Susi, jumped into a canal strewn with garbage.
When things quieted, those who ran went back to look for her. 'We searched all night,' said Evie, who is still haunted by the memory of her friend's face. 'Finally ... we found her. It was horrible. Her body swollen, face bashed in.'
Evie decided, then and there, to live the rest of her life as a man. She ditched her tight, flowery dresses, brocade vest and bras.
Now 66, she said: 'I knew in my heart I was a woman, but I didn't want to die like that. So I decided to just accept it. I've been living like this, a man, ever since.'
Several longtime residents of Obama's old Menteng neighbourhood confirmed Turdi had worked there as Barack's nanny for two years, also caring for his baby sister Maya.
Evie, who like many Indonesians goes by a single name, now lives in a closet-sized hovel in a tightly packed slum in an eastern corner of Jakarta, collecting and scrubbing dirty laundry to pay for food.
She wears baggy blue jeans and a white T-shirt advertising a tranquil beach resort far away in a place she has never been. She speaks softly, politely, and a deep worry line is etched between her eyes.
As a child, Evie was often beaten by a father who could not stand having such a 'sissy' for a son. She said: 'He wanted me to act like a boy, even though I didn't feel it in my soul.'
Teased and bullied, she dropped out of school after the third grade and decided to learn how to cook.
She made her way into the kitchens of several high-ranking officials by the time she was a teenager.
And then she met Obama's mother. Evie now seeks solace in religion, going regularly to the mosque and praying five times a day. She said she is just waiting to die.
She added that she did not know the boy she helped raise won the 2008 U.S. presidential election until she saw a picture of the family in local newspapers and on TV. She blurted out that she knew him.
As a child: Barack Obama seen riding a tricycle in his youth and right, with his mother Ann Dunham, who moved him to Jakarta after her divorce

Her friends at first laughed and thought she was crazy, but those who live in the family's old neighbourhood confirmed it is true.
'Many neighbours would remember Turdi. She was popular here at that time,' said Rudy Yara, who still lives across the street from Obama's former house.
'She was a nice person and was always patient and caring in keeping young Barry.'
Evie hopes her former charge will use his power to fight for people like her. Obama named Amanda Simpson, the first openly transgender appointee, as a senior technical adviser in the Commerce Department in 2010.
For Evie, who's now just trying to earn enough to survive each day on Jakarta's streets, the election victory itself was enough to give her a reason - for the first time in a long time - to feel proud.
'Now when people call me scum,' she says, 'I can just say: 'But I was the nanny for the President of the United States!'
Of course it isn't so simple... but really... isn't Evie more important then pretending that Gay people live in a situation where they have the burden of pregnancy in a relationship?

Hillary Clinton: Don't Believe...Obama?

Labels: »
Media_httpwwwanorakco_debuf(h/t writingtw k/t=ChallahHuAkbar My Right Word)Is that she was intimating in this answer at a press conference (Secretary Clinton at Town Hall in Tunis with Tunisian Youth. Palais du Baron d'Erlanger, February 25, 2012)?
Didn't want any liberals to think Rush was the only guy who thinks the Democrats are Cunts:
QUESTION:
My name is Ivan. After the electoral campaign starts in the United States – it started some time ago – we noticed here in Tunisia that most of the candidates from the both sides run towards the Zionist lobbies to get their support in the States. And afterwards, once they are elected, they come to show their support for countries like Tunisia and Egypt for a common Tunisian or a common Arab citizen. How would you reassure and gain his trust again once given the fact that you are supporting his enemy as well at the same time?

SECRETARY CLINTON:
Well, first, let me say you will learn as your democracy develops that a lot of things are said in political campaigns that should not bear a lot of attention. There are comments made that certainly don’t reflect the United States, don’t reflect our foreign policy, don’t reflect who we are as a people. I mean, if you go to the United States, you see mosques everywhere, you see Muslim Americans everywhere. That’s the fact. So I would not pay attention to the rhetoric.
Secondly, I would say watch what President Obama says and does. He’s our President. He represents all of the United States, and he will be reelected President, so I think that that will be a very clear signal to the entire world as to what our values are and what our President believes. So I think it’s a fair question because I know that – I sometimes am a little surprised that people around the world pay more attention to what is said in our political campaigns than most Americans, say, are paying attention. So I think you have to shut out some of the rhetoric and just focus on what we’re doing and what we stand for, and particularly what our President represents.

Well, since President Obama hasn't really managed to do much on the Iran issue of any effectiveness, what do you think Clinton was intimating?
