A French citizen who lives in Ma’aleh Adumim and recently tried to renew his French passport, received a letter which said that his country of residence in the new passport would be listed as “occupied Palestine.”
(Israel Survival Updates)
The citizen turned to MK Lia Shemtov from the Yisrael Beiteinu party and asked her to take care of the issue with the French authorities. “I was contacted by a young resident of Ma’aleh Adumim who was surprised to find that his French passport said that he lives in the occupied territory of Palestine,” Shemtov told Arutz Sheva on Thursday.
“It is inconceivable that Ma’aleh Adumim will be listed in the passport as occupied Palestinian territory,” she added. “I turned to the Israeli Foreign Ministry and the staff there were also amazed to see that the passport says that Ma’aleh Adumim is part of Palestine, a country which has never even existed.” «

attack against Iran's nuclear program would be too expensive.
Not the final solution, the cheap solution
That would be why no one has done anything so far. What really disturbs me is the level of trade between Germany of all places and Iran.
Clal Finance warns on Thursday that an attack against Iran's nuclear program would be too expensive.
(Israel Matzav)
A leading Israeli investment firm said on Thursday any military strike on Iranian nuclear facilities would exact an economic price too high for the world to accept, and as a result, it would likely acquiesce to a nuclear Iran. And what does he think it will cost if Iran actually uses those nuclear weapons?
A sharp rise in the price of oil, the costs of war and the damage to global trade would be too great and deter world powers from taking any serious action, said Amir Kahanovich, chief economist at Clal Finance, one of Israel's largest brokerage houses.
The assessment differed sharply from Israel's official position that Tehran's nuclear aspirations are unacceptable and that all options are on the table in preventing a nuclear-armed Iran, which it views as a threat to its existence.
In a report "The Iranian Issue through Economic Eyes," Kahanovich laid out courses of action - ranging from additional "light sanctions" to military strikes - and told investors the world would likely balk at taking the steps needed to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
Even for Israel the economic cost of a military confrontation that could include retaliatory missile attacks by Tehran and proxies in Gaza and Lebanon would be too high, Kahanovich wrote.
"Unfortunately, it appears that a nuclear Iran is the most reasonable scenario," he added.
German-Afghan Charged With Al-Qaeda Membership

BERLIN (AP h/t EYE) – A German-Afghan man whose information led to terrorism warnings across Europe last year has been charged with being a member of Al Qaeda, federal prosecutors said Thursday.
Ahmad Wali Siddiqui was captured by U.S. troops in Afghanistan in July 2010 and while in custody provided details on alleged plots linked to the terror network that supposedly targeted European cities. No attacks materialized.
Federal prosecutors' spokesman Marcus Koehler said Thursday that his office had charged the 37-year-old, identified only as Ahmad Wali S. in accordance with German privacy laws, with membership in the extremist Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan and Al Qaeda on Nov. 2.
Siddiqui is accused of training with both groups in Pakistan in the border region with Afghanistan in 2009 and 2010 with the aim of taking part in violent jihad, or holy war, Koehler said in a statement. He could not immediately be reached to elaborate beyond the release.
At an IMU camp, Siddiqui underwent general military training and helped produce a German-language propaganda film, Koehler said. In the summer of 2009 he moved to an Al Qaeda training area where he learned how to use heavy weapons, including anti-tank weapons and mortars.
In June 2010, a "high ranking Al Qaeda member" tasked Siddiqui to return to Germany to become part of a European network of the terrorist organization, the statement said.
"The network was supposed to secure financial support for the organization but at the same time be ready for other, not yet concrete, orders from the Al Qaeda leadership," Koehler said.
He slipped across the border into Afghanistan to return from there to Germany, but was captured by American troops in Kabul before he could leave the country, Koehler said.
While in American custody, intelligence sources have said he provided interrogators details of an early stage terrorist plot in Europe last year, which led the U.S. and others to issue a travel alert for Europe.
He was turned over to German authorities in April. No date has yet been set for his trial.
Before going to Pakistan, Siddiqui and several other suspects met at Hamburg's al-Quds mosque, the prayer house that had served as gathering point for some of the Sept. 11 attackers before they moved to the United States to attend flight schools in 2000, German intelligence officials have said. Authorities shut down the mosque last year.
Intelligence officials also said Siddiqui was a friend of Mounir el Motassadeq, who was convicted by a German court in 2006 of being an accessory to the murder of the 246 passengers and crew on the four jetliners used in the Sept 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, who also frequented the al-Quds mosque.
Arafat's family to release report on how he died
I get the feeling that Carl does not believe the Palestinian Authority Report that Mohammed Dahlan Poisoned Yasser Arafat
(Israel Matzav) Nasser al-Kidwa, the nephew of Yasser Arafat and the 'Palestinian' ambassador to the United Nations, is going to release a report in Arabic that will tell 'Palestinians' how Arafat died.
(Israel Matzav) Nasser al-Kidwa, the nephew of Yasser Arafat and the 'Palestinian' ambassador to the United Nations, is going to release a report in Arabic that will tell 'Palestinians' how Arafat died. Al-Qudwa says the report will answer "many questions," as it is the Palestinian people's right to get a clear answer about how Arafat died. The document has not previously been seen in Arabic.Poisoning. What a load of bull dung.
The report by French doctors describes a platelet disorder and speculates on its cause, al-Qudwa says. The doctors ruled out cancer and an acute infection, he told Ma'an.
A third possibility was poisoning, al-Qudwa says, but the records show that doctors were unable to conclusively determine what poison, if any, was in Arafat's system.
"We have said that it is poisoning," he hinted.
People with HIV often have problems with their levels of platelets, cells in the blood that help with clotting.Do I think Arafat had AIDS? I KNOW Arafat had AIDS. Arafat's doctor told us in an interview on Israeli television! And I can even tell you how he got it.
When the body slows its production of platelets, and/or when platelets are destroyed at a higher-than-normal rate, a condition called thrombocytopenia occurs. People with this condition bleed and bruise easily.
Fidel Castro's Niece in Twitter Row with Cuban Dissident Yoani Sánchez
(h/t Libra Bunda) THE GUARDIAN: Mariela Castro – daughter of president Raúl – calls dissidents 'despicable parasites' hours after joining Twitter
Within hours of signing up to Twitter, the daughter of the Cuban president, Raúl Castro, has got into the online equivalent of a shouting match with a prominent dissident blogger, Yoani Sánchez.
Mariela Castro called Sánchez and her supporters "despicable parasites" in a brief exchange that may have been the first direct confrontation, verbal or otherwise, between dissidents and a member of the Castro family after years of mutual animosity.
Sánchez, who regularly criticises the lack of freedoms in communist Cuba in her Generation Y blog, touched off the dispute by sending tweets that welcomed Mariela Castro to the "plurality of Twitter" where "no one can shut me up, deny me permission to travel or block entrance".
"When will we Cubans be able to come out of other closets?" she asked, alluding to Mariela Castro's championing of gay rights as head of Cuba's national centre for sex education.
"Tolerance is total or is it not?" Sánchez tweeted.
Castro, 49, replied coolly: "Your focus of tolerance reproduces the old mechanisms of power. To improve your 'services' you need to study."
Perry Fumbles at the GOP Debate - Says Eliminate 3 Agencies, Can’t Name Them
The debate in economically ailing Michigan focused almost entirely on financial worries and proposed solutions in the U.S.
The candidates generally stuck to practiced speech lines - with a late exception. In the middle of one answer, Texas Gov. Rick Perry found himself unable to recall the names of all three of the Cabinet-level agencies he wants to eliminate, even leaning over to Rep. Ron Paul for help at one point.
“The third agency of government I would do away with - the education, the commerce. And let’s see. I can’t. The third one I can’t. Oops,” he said, forgetting for a moment that he wants to abolish the Department of Energy.
(Boker Tov) I arrived at last night's debate with one foot still in Perry's camp and the other, testing the water over at Lake Newt. By the end, I thought that Perry was toast (because of the brain freeze moment), Newt was disappointingly churlish and Cain's 9-9-9 is starting to wear thin. Rick Santorum just cannot get over himself and stop whining; Bachmann was better, for not being on the attack; but I still... deeply... don't want Romney.
So this morning I've been reading around the comments, from Politico to RedState, and have been amazed to find Perry's support seeming to hold strong. Here's one commenter, who uses a baseball analogy to make his/her point:
The way I look at Perrys flub tonight, is like watching a baseball game. Your star hitter comes up with runners on first and third, and your two runs down. You’re wanting that home run, but he strikes out.
With some of the comments here tonight, I would bet if they were at that game, They would leave, and start yelling for the team to trade him. It doesn’t matter to them that the game isn’t over, that there are 5 innings left. Their hero didn’t come through, so they’ve had it. They’re going to quit supporting that team.
It is the total opposite of loyalty. It’s not taught in scool no more, so they don’t know what it is.
Later they find out that in the bottom of the ninth, the star player hit a grand slam home run, and wins the game by one run.
They will jump on board again.
The question is, do we as a team want them back.
The answer is yes.
And then there's the email sent out by Team Perry at 2:30 a.m., again according to comments:
Lastly, this one made a striking point about the Enemedia:“We’ve all had human moments. President Obama is still trying to find all 57 states. Ronald Reagan got lost somewhere on the Pacific Highway in an answer to a debate question. Gerald Ford ate a tamale without removing the husk. And tonight Rick Perry forgot the third agency he wants to eliminate. Just goes to show there are too damn many federal agencies.
The governor said it best afterwards: “I’m glad I had my boots on, because I sure stepped in it tonight.”
While the media froths over this all too human moment, we thought we would take this opportunity to ask your help in doing something much more constructive: write us to let us know what federal agency you would most like to forget.
Is it the EPA and its job-killing zealots? The NLRB and its czar-like dictates? The edu-crats at the Department of Education who aim to control your local curriculum?
Send your answer to forgetmenot@rickperry.org, and if you are on twitter join us in using a new twitter hashtag: #forgetmenot. And, if you could, throw in a $5 contribution for every agency you would like to forget. We hope you have a long list. And we promise we will write down every last idea. So we don’t forget.
Still standing in our Boots,
Team Perry”
... let’s be clear, the media today is another branch of the federal govt. Without being appointed Czar of Public Opinion or having a vote in Congress or a seat on the SCOTUS, they drive agendas, pick winners and losers, shape our minds while we don’t even realize it.
Remember Mark Halperin on Morning Joke saying after an Obama speech, “I think he was a d—.” ? Where’s Mark this morning? Sitting at the desk on Morning Joke, claiming Perry’s done, no chance, ever. It’s over.

Quebec Mayor has anti-Israel head explosion on Canadian TV
(Bare Naked Islam) (h/t Sandra Kushner Zlotkin) Quebec French-language television channel V, host Stephane Gendron shrieks, “Do you know what Israel did? In revenge for the admission of Palestine to UNESCO, they decided to build 2000 homes in areas that do not belong to them, the occupied territories, so they are going to bulldoze people, kill people, they will give them 5 minutes to get out and then they’ll run people down with bulldozers. And Canada supports this.”Well, I certainly hope so! Anyone know if Gendron is a Muslim?
Honest Reporting On the November 2 broadcast of Face à Face, a daily news and debate morning talk show on the Quebec French-language television channel V, host Stephane Gendron, whose vitriolic anti-Israel views are well known, went on a libellous tirade.Stéphane Gendron, the Mayor of Huntington, Quebec, has a history of uttering hateful anti-Semitic rhetoric and disseminating egregious falsehoods against Israel. Previously, on the September 23 edition of Face à Face, Gendron claimed: “Before 1948, … the Jews stole the land from the Palestinians…” and “it’s the Jews that invented terrorism.”
Shortly after Israel’s 2008 Operation Cast Lead, which was a response to over 10,000 rocket attacks into Israel from Gaza, Gendron posted an odious letter to his blog addressed to Prime Minister Stephen Harper claiming that the “Zionist Government of Israel” was conducting a “genocide.” Finally, in an interview with Le Soleil in August 2006, Gendron referred to Israelis as modern-day Nazis.Stéphane Gendron openly discriminating against Quebecers as intends to offer tax credits to potential Muslim residents.
CIReport Mr. Gendron has a new plan to revitalize his community of about 2,600 people — build a mosque and establish a Halal slaughterhouse in a town with hardly any Muslim residents. Mr. Gendron, a frank-talking mayor with a knack for publicity coups, has stepped into the limelight again by announcing he wants to counter his town’s population decline through Muslim immigration.Though open to all immigration, Mr. Gendron says, he’s especially keen on courting people from the French-speaking Maghreb region of North Africa. The twice-re-elected mayor, whose Facebook profile photo shows him praying in a Montreal mosque next to the imam, has laid out the welcome mat by offering to build a mosque, Halal abattoir and Muslim cemetery to add to the Protestant and Catholic one. There are tax credits too.
