Graffiti in Tripoli says 'Gadhafi you Jew'

This is from an article about Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi handing out weapons to his loyalists in Tripoli so that they can 'patrol' the streets

The embattled Libyan regime passed out guns to civilian supporters, set up checkpoints Saturday and sent armed patrols roving the terrorized capital to try to maintain control of Moammar Gadhafi's stronghold and quash dissent as rebels consolidate control elsewhere in the North African nation.
Residents of its eastern Tajoura district spread concrete blocks, large rocks and even chopped-down palm trees as makeshift barricades to prevent the SUVs filled with young men wielding automatic weapons from entering their neighborhood — a hotspot of previous protests.
With tensions running high in Tripoli, scores of people in the neighborhood turned out at a funeral for a 44-year-old man killed in clashes with pro-regime forces. Anwar Algadi was killed Friday, with the cause of death listed as "a live bullet to the head," according to his brother, Mohammed.
Armed men in green armbands, along with uniformed security forces check those trying to enter the district, where graffiti that says "Gadhafi, you Jew," "Down to the dog," and "Tajoura is free" was scrawled on walls.

At least the Arab Muslim world is consistent. Gadhafi has murdered hundreds of people over the last week, and the biggest insult they can think of is to call him a Jew.

Study says most corporations pay no U.S. income taxes

Most U.S. and foreign corporations doing business in the United States avoid paying any federal income taxes, despite trillions of dollars worth of sales, a government study released on Tuesday said.

The Government Accountability Office said 72 percent of all foreign corporations and about 57 percent of U.S. companies doing business in the United States paid no federal income taxes for at least one year between 1998 and 2005.
More than half of foreign companies and about 42 percent of U.S. companies paid no U.S. income taxes for two or more years in that period, the report said. via reuters.com


the way Google does it is called the Double Irish to Ireland and Holland. Corporations don't get taxed... only the middle class does.. (the middle class that provides 95% of jobs in the United States and are technically called millionaires). Ever wonder why GE financed MSNBC before they let go to Comcast or why most media companies have no worries about taxes. if you are in the media your main interest is in defying eminent domain and getting friendly with government who makes those decisions. Honest corporate executives unlike Bill Gates who is a fraud and a liar know that taxation does not effect them... especially if the majority of the revenue is from advertising or if they are practically the government already... aka Time Warner...  Time Warner... hmm Time Magazine? CNN? hello? wake up LIBERALS!

The problem with guys like Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul... (who are really one and the same internationalist agenda... one for corporatist internationalism and the other for socialist internationalism) is that it doesn't matter what they say. They hurt the reputation of the average American and they don't represent local interests. The modern debate over government is based on offering Americans a choice between two minority monopolies of power. Government controlled corporations or corporate controlled government. Two extremes, both of which monopolize power in the hands of a small number of powerful and influential people. And deprive ordinary citizens of their rights. Because a tyranny of the minority is still a tyranny-- regardless of what its guise is. And either corporate controlled government or government controlled corporations mean a totalitarian state serving the interests of a small group. The only debate is over which small group will benefit the most from the oppression of the majority. The debate between government controlled corporations and corporate controlled government is mostly irrelevant. Because we have both.

Jimmy Carter and Rosie O’Donnell Defend Helen Thomas

I suppose that none of us should be surprised that former President Jimmy Carter reached out to Helen Thomas after she put her foot deep in her mouth last May.

According to a column in the Feb. 24 edition of the Falls Church News-Press by Nicholas F. Benton, the editor-in-chief of the publication, the paper’s newest columnist Helen Thomas had a surprise waiting for her after an extraordinary interview she gave to HLN’s Joy Behar last week. That was flowers from Rosie O’Donnell, who had been on the record for defending Thomas in the past.
However, as Benton noted, at the time of the Thomas’s infamous remarks, there were very few willing to defend her other than O’Donnell and the 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter.
“[Rosie] O’Donnell sent Thomas, now age 90, flowers in sympathy for the highly upsetting incident and, along with President Jimmy Carter, was one of only a handful of her longtime colleagues and friends to reach out to her,” Benton wrote.
Alana Goodman, the assistant online editor for Commentary magazine, followed up with Benton on that claim. She noted in a post that Benton told her that Thomas told him that Carter reached out to her after the comments.

“Benton told me over the phone that Thomas told him about Carter’s outreach herself, though she didn’t give him details about what the former president said to her,” Goodman wrote. “‘The context was in the context of what transpired,’ said Benton, referring to Thomas’s unceremonious retirement from Hearst.”

here is an example where the information I got was wrong: Foreign mercenaries landing in Tripoli

Israel Radio has just reported (7:00 pm Monday) that foreign mercenaries hired by Muammar Gadhafi from other Arab countries are landing in Tripoli at this hour. The source for the report is al-Arabiya.
Israel Radio also is citing reports from the BBC - supposedly sourced from British Foreign Secretary William Hague - that Gadhafi is on his way to Venezuela. The Venezuelans are denying it.
Other reports cited by Israel Radio say that Gadhafi is still in Libya but he is not in Tripoli.
Oh and those two air force jets I reported on an hour ago that escaped to Malta..... They weren't trying to escape Gadhafi. It seems that the opposition took over their base in Benghazi and that's why they escaped. That too from Israel Radio based on an al-Jazeera report. The four-man crews have surrendered to Maltese forces. The pilots claimed they were out of fuel. There were apparently also some helicopters.
