People are saying, "I was at the Tea Party Movement since the beginning". I'm glad I wasn't an early adopter.
People are saying, "I was at the Tea Party Movement since the beginning". I'm glad I wasn't an early adopter. I see the problem with taxes. I get the theory. I hate Obama and didn't vote for him just because of the color of his skin like a "White Liberal", but I wasn't going to jump in with the Anti-Semites. Now they are going to have a Tea Party in Israel. Not surprised (the movement is full of public relations pros), but I want all the other Jews here to know that the Tea Party is full of Israel bashers. The early adopters were scum. I support much of their tax claims, but there is a reason I didn't give this movement support. I wasn't brainwashed by MSNBC either. I was on twitter talking to actual Tea Party leaders, much as I was talking to early Obama people. They were Israel bashers.
The Jews are telling you something you probably didn't want to know....
Life is divided into the horrible and the miserable. The horrible are the cancer patients and the terminal cases... the miserable is everyone else. So, be thankful that you're miserable. -Woody AllenNow the miserable will know why they are miserable. Israeli Tech will tell them if they have cancer or not... which I'm not sure the world will appreciate.
Researchers at the Technion in Haifa have developed a simple blood test that screens for cancer.oy... saving the world with the nerd stuff.
An innovative, simple blood test that can diagnose a variety of diseases, including cancer, has been developed by researchers at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and was just reported in a central article in the Proceedings of the [US] National Academy of Sciences.
The Technion has registered a patent on the development.
Prof. Aryeh Admon of the biology faculty claims that the test will provide doctors with a rich variety of information that until now has not been available and is suited to the trend of “personalized medicine,” in which treatment is suited to the genetic and other characteristics of the patient. The development was part of the doctoral work of Dr. Miochal Bassani- Sternberg and will help suit medication to the patient.
As opposed to current blood tests for cancer which merely note whether cancerous cells are still in the blood stream, the new test will be able to differentiate between different kinds of cancers and tumors as well as other dise
Sister in Law of Tony Blair: Reads Koran Every Day. On Page 60
It's hard to know where to start when describing the sheer ickiness of Booth. That she works as a paid stooge for the murderous Iranian regime's television channel has to come pretty near the top. A woman, choosing to act a front for a gang of thugs who uphold the punishment of death by stoning for adulteresses! This is surely Stockholm Syndrome gone gaga.
Her entirely inappropriate addiction to the spotlight, although she was obviously designed as one of Nature's plus-ones, is another stand-out feature. A failed actress, a mediocre hack, it's pretty fair to say we would never have heard of her had her half-sister not married a man who became Prime Minister. And now her meal-ticket is Mohammed.
Al Quds al Arabi, the London-based pan-Arabic newspaper, interviewed Lauren Booth about her conversion to Islam.
First, she said that she simply converted to Islam, not to any particular sect within Islam. I guess she needs to get past page 60 of the Koran to make such a decision. She said she did it after returning from Iran, not in Iran.
Some newspaper mentioned that she swam in Gaza in a bikini the last time she was there. She denies this, saying she kept her clothes on and swam early in the morning so no one would see, and anyway now that she converted all of her sins are gone so it doesn't matter, but she might sue the newspaper that claimed she was in a bikini.
Well, I did find a picture of her at the beach in Gaza...

From Weasel Zippers:
(Daily Mail)- Tony Blair’s sister-in-law has converted to Islam after having a ‘holy experience’ in Iran.
Broadcaster and journalist Lauren Booth, 43 – Cherie Blair’s half-sister – said she now wears a hijab head covering whenever she leaves her home, prays five times a day and visits her local mosque ‘when I can’.
She decided to become a Muslim six weeks ago after visiting the shrine of Fatima al-Masumeh in the city of Qom.
‘It was a Tuesday evening and I sat down and felt this shot of spiritual morphine, just absolute bliss and joy,’ she told The Mail on Sunday.
When she returned to Britain, she decided to convert immediately.
‘Now I don’t eat pork and I read the Koran every day. I’m on page 60.
Israeli Arab activist convicted of spying for Hezbollah
give him the Pollard treatment. 25 years minimum for what was promised to be 10 years
Amir Makhoul is an outspoken critic of Israel's treatment of Palestinians
An Israeli court has convicted a leading Israeli Arab activist of spying for Lebanon's Hezbollah militant group.Amir Makhoul, 52, admitted to the charges in a plea bargain that will see him jailed for seven to 10 years.
Under the deal, prosecutors dropped the most serious charge - assisting an enemy in a time of war - for which he could have faced life in prison. He will be sentenced in November.
Makhoul was arrested in May, along with Israeli Arab activist Omar Sayid.
Charges against Mr Sayid were reduced in a plea bargain and he was freed last month after serving a seven-month jail term.
The Israeli press was initially barred from reporting on the case, but when the gag order was lifted, Israeli Arab pressure group Adalah said their arrest and interrogation had been conducted "in gross violation of their fundamental rights to due process".

Without Jews there is no Judaism
read the whole thingIn 1917, there were 30 synagogues in Samarkand, by 1935 just one. Nonetheless, underground movements and a deep commitment to Judaism that had helped Jews maintain their identity for thousands of years once again set in to get Jews through Communism. The 1970 Soviet census showed 103,000 Jews in Uzbekistan. (Photo by Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii, c. 1909-1915)
Rabbi Berel WeinOne of the more amazing predictions regarding the Jewish people that appears in the Torah is that numerically speaking we will always be a small nation. That certainly has been the case over our long history. At the time of the destruction of the Second Temple the Chinese were twice our numbers. Almost two millennia later the Chinese are approximately one hundred times our numbers.
In 1939 on the eve of World War II there were nineteen million Jews in the world. Today, seventy years later, we are at least four million under that number. There should be, simply by natural growth, sixty million Jews in the world but there is not nearly that number extant. This has been the price of what the modern world has inflicted upon us - from the Holocaust and its attendant generational impact, assimilation, intermarriage, the reduction of marriage and family which are viewed as subservient to other so-called life values, a very diminished birth rate outside of the Orthodox community, a general tendency to avoid marriage or to marry later in life, and the accepted practices and lifestyles of homosexuality.
All of this means that there are less Jews and less Jews means a weakening of Judaism and Judaic values. Tragically many Jews are more interested in saving the planet (whatever that may mean) than in creating a family themselves and insuring Jewish survival for the future.
Karl Marx, the apostate self-hating Jew, wrote a vicious anti-Semitic pamphlet entitled “A World Without Jews.” He predicted that such a world would be utopia incarnate. Unfortunately much of the world, including a significant number of Jews as well, took him seriously.
Ed Koch: We see the faces of those who many hold responsible for the economic debacle
We told you so Ed. You were one of the people who supported ObamaWhy did the President and Congress insist on reinventing the wheel when it came to health care coverage? Weren’t there prototypes in Europe and elsewhere developed and used for more than 50 years with proven track records that could have been used as models? Did the President and Congress have to terrify people who had insurance coverage in order to provide coverage for the additional 32 million Americans covered under the new law? Couldn’t those without insurance have been attached in some way to the Medicaid rolls? Why did the President and Congress sell out to the prescription drug companies and strip Medicare of the right to negotiate volume discount purchases that could have saved U.S. taxpayers more than a trillion dollars over ten years? What rankles most for many, including me, is why have there been so few criminal prosecutions of those who are responsible for having brought the U.S. economy to its knees, destroyed the nation’s prosperity and caused millions of Americans to lose their homes, their jobs and a substantial portion of their retirement savings? Why when looking at Obama’s cabinet and advisers, do we see the faces of those who many hold responsible for the economic debacle?
I predict a Republican victory of tsunami proportions on November 2nd.
Bedbug epidemic spreads to the United Nations
New York City's bedbug epidemic has spread to yet another landmark in the city that never sleeps -- the United Nations, officials at the world organization said on Wednesday.
The pests appeared at places like the Empire State Building and Bloomingdale's before reaching the city's center of international diplomacy on the East Side of Manhattan.
The U.N. press office said a bedbug-sniffing dog had confirmed the presence of bedbugs in furniture in the basement of the Dag Hammarskjold Library, where the offices of the team overseeing the U.N. headquarters' $1.9 billion renovation project are housed.
"This furniture has been moved to a part of the building not occupied by staff to facilitate fumigation," it said.
The library is a three-story annex to the main building.
"Bedbug infestations have been found in many public and commercial buildings throughout New York City indicating a worsening problem," the U.N. statement said.
In August, the pest extermination company Terminex said that New York is the most bedbug-infested urban center in the United States. Other cities in the top five were Philadelphia, Detroit, Cincinnati and Chicago.

Thirty Congolese women were held in a "dungeon" on the border of Conga and Angola and systematically raped by uniformed men over a period of weeks earlier this month, say U.N. officials. They were part of a group of 150 refugees, 3 of whom were killed (one, a woman who died from the physical trauma of repeated rape). Survivors were released on the Congolese side of the border, naked and with no belongings.

Failing to Recognize Yerushalayim
By Congressman
Anthony D. Weiner
In what country were you born?
If you are a U.S. citizen born in Jerusalem, you’d better not look for the answer on your passport. That line is always left blank.
On every other passport there is always a line listing a person’s city and country of birth. But as a boy named Menachem Zivitofsky learned, this isn’t the case for people born in Jerusalem. Because of U.S. policy, the State Department declines to record their place of birth as Israel, leaving passports to read simply “Jerusalem.”
While this outrage eventually led to Congressional action, it also points to a larger problem - the failure of the State Department to recognize Jerusalem as the undisputed capital of Israel.
In 2002, Congress passed the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, part of which declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel and ordered then-President George W. Bush to move the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, since our embassies around the world operate out of foreign countries’ capital cities.
Part of the law we passed specifically spells out that if a United States citizen is born in Jerusalem, the “Secretary of State shall, upon the request of the citizen or the citizen’s legal guardian, record the place of birth as Israel.”
But the White House issued a signing statement saying it considered these parts of the law non-binding and that the administration would not implement them. President Bush said that Congress was trying to dictate foreign policy to the Executive branch, and that the president alone has the power to recognize foreign states.
In December of the same year the bill passed, Menachem Zivitofsky’s parents, who are American citizens (Menachem’s mother gave birth to him in Jerusalem), plunged into this debate between the White House and Congress and asked the State Department to issue Menachem a U.S. passport that listed his place of birth as Jerusalem, Israel. The State Department said no, listing his place of birth simply as “Jerusalem.”
A court ruled that our Congressional call for Jerusalem to be part of Israel intruded on the power of the president to recognize all foreign regimes. It also ruled that the court couldn’t enforce the law with the State Department since it involved “an inherently political” question.
This is wrong; of course Congress has the ability to legislate with regard to foreign affairs. For example, we recognized the PLO as a terrorist organization and made it illegal for anyone to accept anything of value from the PLO. Not only did Congress make these laws with regard to a foreign entity, the president used this law in an effort to close the PLO’s mission to the United Nations.
The idea that the president, not Congress, has the right to determine what a U.S. passport names as a place of birth for a U.S. citizen is wrong. Congress regulates passports all the time. The fact that the State Department can even issue passports at all is because of an act of Congress. For example, courts have upheld Congress’s right to require an oath of allegiance for people to obtain a passport and Congress’s right to deny a passport to anyone owing more than $5,000 in child support.
Adding insult to injury, the Foreign Affairs Manual of the State Department instructs its employees to allow Arabs born in areas of Israel that are uncontroversial and incontrovertibly part of Israel, like Tel Aviv or Haifa, to request that their passport not say Israel if they object to Israel being shown as sovereign.
If Arab Israelis can take Israel off their passports, how can the State Department not allow a Jewish Israeli to put it on?
This is simply beyond the pale, which is why I and several other members of Congress filed an Amicus brief on behalf of Menachem Zivitofsky, trying to relay to the court our displeasure with how our legislation is being ignored. The court did not decide in our favor, but I look forward to re-doubling our effort when the appeal comes before a court again.
This struggle is not just some “insider” bureaucratic dispute in Washington. Acceptance of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel is crucial. The “international community” wants Jerusalem to be considered outside the control of Israel, probably in preparation of exerting pressure on the Israeli government to give parts of it away.
It is absolutely critical that the law I passed be implemented, that the U.S. embassy be moved to Jerusalem, and that the United States send a clear message to the rest of the world and Israel’s neighbors that Jerusalem is part of the Jewish state.
This issue is representative of the frustration many of us feel with how this and previous administrations have dealt with Jerusalem.
I still have not heard back from the U.S. Ambassador regarding the letter I wrote to him asking what country he was standing in while reading my letter in Jerusalem.
I urge you to ask him, too. The answer shouldn’t be that difficult.

impressiveI take back some of my feelings towards Weiner. I still disagree with him concerning Creeping Sharia, but this letter helps
Gorbachev Has Advice for US: Victory in Afghanistan Is Impossible
Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev said in an interview with the BBC that “Obama is right to pull the troops out” of Afghanistan.Mikhail Gorbachev, who pulled Soviet troops out of Afghanistan more than 20 years ago after a bloody decadelong war there, says victory in Afghanistan is “impossible,” and that America is risking another Vietnam if it doesn’t withdraw its own troops soon. The Red Army was forced to withdraw from Afghanistan in 1989, after being routed by U.S.-backed mujahedeen fighters — some of whom later joined the Taliban and are NATO’s enemies in the war today. Gorbachev recognized that irony in an interview with the BBC aired today.
“We had hoped America would abide by the agreement that we reached that Afghanistan should be a neutral, democratic country that would have good relations with its neighbors and with both the U.S. and the USSR,” the 79-year-old former Soviet leader said. “The Americans always said they supported this, but at the same time they were training militants — the same ones who today are terrorizing Afghanistan and more and more of Pakistan.”
The complex history of the U.S. in Afghanistan, where it first armed Islamist fighters during the Cold War and is now fighting against them, makes it more difficult for U.S. troops to abandon the country, Gorbachev said.
“But what’s the alternative — another Vietnam? Sending in half a million troops? That wouldn’t work,” he said. “Victory is impossible in Afghanistan. [Barack] Obama is right to pull the troops out. No matter how difficult it will be.”
More than 150,000 NATO troops, mostly Americans and Britons, have been fighting in Afghanistan for nine years. The Obama administration has pledged to begin drawing down the number of U.S. troops there next year, though American forces are expected to remain in smaller numbers for several years.
Meanwhile, Russian troops may once again be pulled into conflict in Afghanistan, according to new NATO proposals for cooperation with Moscow. The plans, which are being discussed ahead of a NATO summit next month in Lisbon, include Russia’s possible contribution of helicopters and crews to train Afghan pilots, and increased cooperation on counternarcotics and border security, The Guardian reported.
Russia’s envoy to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, dismissed the report today, telling the Russian news agency RIA Novosti, “We’ve already been in Afghanistan, and we didn’t like it much.”
Gorbachev’s comments to the BBC come amid of flurry of interviews he’s given recently, including several in which he’s been boldly critical of Russia’s current leadership.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who once had Gorbachev’s support, has now undermined his country’s democracy, the former Soviet leader told The New York Times. “He thinks that democracy stands in his way,” Gorbachev said.
Sponsored Links “I am afraid that they have been saddled with this idea that this unmanageable country needs authoritarianism,” Gorbachev continued, referring to both Putin and his close ally, President Dmitry Medvedev. “They think they cannot do without it.”
Gorbachev said officials of Putin’s United Russia party are too concerned with clinging onto their own power and don’t want Russians to participate in their nation’s civic life. It’s the same frustrated tone he struck in another interview with Moscow-based Snob magazine last week, in which he warned that Russia’s leadership must start listening to the people or risk mass protests and disorder.
“Our government fears its own citizens,” Gorbachev told the magazine, according to Bloomberg News. “When people finally realize that their opinion is ignored and that nothing depends on them, they’ll go out on the street.
“The most dangerous thing is if the tension building up in society suddenly bursts onto the street with such a force that we’ll all be in trouble.”

Prominent white Zimbabwean farmer shot dead in robbery; farm leaders say violence increasing

Police in Zimbabwe say a prominent white farmer was shot dead in a robbery at his home as a farmers' organization alleges violence against the few remaining white-owned farms has intensified in the past month.
Police official Andrew Phiri said 67-year-old Kobus Joubert died in the robbery Monday. Two pistols, money and household goods were stolen from his farm west of Zimbabwe's capital, Harare.
The Commercial Farmers Union, representing about 300 whites still on their land after a decade-long violent land seizure program that ousted some 4,000 white farmers, said the killing showed "the flagrant disregard for the rule of law" in farming areas ahead of proposed elections.
President Robert Mugabe last month vowed to call elections in the middle of next year.

Desmond Tutu Retires from Church to Attack Israel Full Time
Desmond Tutu may have retired earlier this month as an Anglican Archbishop, but he has not given up on his obsession with demonising the Jewish state. Yesterday he was at it again with an appeal to the Cape Town Opera to cancel a planned trip next month to Israel and thus join the international boycott movement.
He said the decision to go would advance “Israel’s fallacious claim to being a ‘civilized democracy.’” He added that, like apartheid South Africa, Israel was “a society founded on discriminatory laws and racial exclusivity.”Compiled by Mort Klein
Do you remember Tutu saying:
* "Israel is like Hitler and apartheid" "I've been deeply distressed in my visit to the Holy Land it reminded me so much of what happened to us black people in South Africa ... I have seen the humiliation of the Palestinians at checkpoints and roadblocks, suffering like us when young white police officers prevented us from moving about... "I say why are our memories so short? Have our Jewish sisters and brothers forgotten their humiliation? Have they forgotten the collective punishment, the home demolitions, in their own history so soon? ... The apartheid government was very powerful, but today it no longer exists. Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Pinochet, Milosevic, and Idi Amin were all powerful, but in the end they bit the dust. Injustice and oppression will never prevail."
* "The Jewish lobby is very powerful": "People are scared in this country [the U.S.], to say wrong is wrong because the Jewish lobby is powerful--very powerful."
"Critics of Israel are being smeared": "You know as well as I do that, somehow, the Israeli government is placed on a pedestal [in the U.S.] and to criticize it is to be immediately dubbed anti-Semitic, as if Palestinians were not Semitic."
"Jewish Arrogance" Tutu accused Jews of exhibiting "an arrogance--the arrogance of power because Jews are a powerful lobby in this land and all kinds of people woo their support,"(Jewish Telegraphic Agency Daily News Bulletin, Nov. 29, 1984)
"Jewish Monopoly of the Holocaust Tutu complained about the Jewish monopoly of the Holocaust." (Jerusalem Post, July 26, 1985)
"Forgive the Nazis" During his 1989 visit to Israel, Tutu "urged Israelis to forgive the Nazis for the Holocaust" (Jerusalem Post, Dec. 31, 1989), a statement which the Simon Wiesenthal Center called "a gratuitous insult to Jews and victims of Nazism everywhere." During the visit, Tutu remarked "If I'm accused of being antisemitic, tough luck," and in response to questions about his anti-Jewish bias, Tutu replied, "My dentist's name is Dr. Cohen." (Simon Wiesenthal Center's Response magazine, January 1990)
"Zionism Is Racism" Tutu has claimed that Zionism has "very many parallels with racism." (American Jewish Year Book 1988, p.50)
"Jews Thought They Had a Monopoly on God" Speaking in a Connecticut church in 1984, Tutu said that "the Jews thought they had a monopoly on God; Jesus was angry that they could shut out other human beings." In the same speech, he compared the features of the ancient Holy Temple in Jerusalem to the features of the apartheid system in South Africa. (Hartford Courant, Oct. 29, 1984)
"Palestine, Not Israel": In conversations during the 1980s with the Israeli ambassador to South Africa, Eliahu Lankin, Tutu"refused to call Israel by its name, he kept referring to it as Palestine." (Simon Wiesenthal Center's Response magazine, January 1990)
"Jews Cause Refugees": Asked about the Zionism-is-racism resolution, Tutu complained that "the Jewish people with their traditions, religion and long history of persecution sometimes appear to have caused a refugee problem among others." (South African Zionist Record, July 26, 1985)
YidwithLid and calevbenyefuneh who found this information might thank him for fighting "Apartheid", but the Africans of South Africa are a violent tribal people who are now on a genocidal rage right now. More should of been done to set up Republics for the people of this land instead of the Leftist Socialism that forced everyone together. The reason borders are necessary is because some people's just don't like each other... and while I don't like that if I do not recognize this then I'm a dead man.
PrimeSense Supplies 3D-Sensing Technology to "Project Natal" for Xbox 360
(Source: Business Wire)
Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq "MSFT") and PrimeSense, the leader in 3D sensing and recognition technologies, announced today that PrimeSense will be providing its leading-edge 3D-sensing technology for use in "Project Natal" for Xbox 360.
"We've seen tremendous excitement and anticipation for the arrival of ˜Project Natal' this holiday," said Ilan Spillinger, vice president of Xbox 360 hardware. "PrimeSense has delivered an important component to the technology, helping us deliver revolutionary controller-free entertainment experiences in the living room."
"PrimeSense's technology enables a paradigm shift in the way people interact with consumer electronic devices. The engagement with Xbox 360 establishes PrimeSense's position as a leading supplier of 3D-sensing technology," said Inon Beracha, chief executive officer, PrimeSense. "We are especially honored to have a partner like Microsoft who shares our vision for bringing innovative and engaging natural experiences to consumers."
"Xbox 360 Hardware Engineering teams developed the ˜Project Natal' sensor based on the PrimeSensor reference design to support the special requirements of ˜Project Natal,'" said Aviad Maizels, president and founder, PrimeSense.
PrimeSense is making possible a 3D (webcam-size) camera that captures 2D+ depth data in realtime. Using the depth map, they can create real-time keys and mats that allow for the removal of the background.
The depth map creates all kinds of opportunities for new applications. PrimeSense has made a smart business model decision to be a fab-less semiconductor company and to work with major OEMs to create and market the hardware, while working with creative and software companies to build applications and games on top of their software. They’re currently working with developers and have major companies that are already developing games and other products based on their technology.
They showed us a few sample applications:
- A remote-less media interface that allows you to navigate and control media selection, playback, volume, etc. using only your hands…
- Controlling a preexisting game without modifying the game – in this case, Adi Berenson of Prime Sense is playing a game similar to Dance Dance Revolution, and the camera is watching his movements and mapping them to what the game thinks are keystrokes. It’s like Wii without the need for the controller…
Their strategy is a good one – add value on underlying technology – chips and software/SDK – and let the CE tech giants with distribution in place and the content developers do what they do best.
- They also showed demonstrations of a touch-less touch screen interface for digital signage.
PrimeSense is a company to watch. Look for their stuff out of the whisper suites and on to the floor in the future.

Circumcision under Attack in Finland and Massachussetts
the legality of circumcision in Finland:
Finland has decided not to regulate male circumcision. A bill legalising the practice has been in the works for seven years, but Minister of Health and Social Services Paula Risikko has decided not to bring it before Parliament.Matters have reached the point where a Muslim mother was convicted in 2006 for circumcising her son. The Supreme Court in Finland eventually dropped the charges--but the chilling effect is unavoidable.
In Finland circumcisions are carried out for religious purposes by members of the Jewish, Muslim and Tartar communities. Estimates are that currently about 200 operations are performed annually.
While Finnish law classifies female genital mutilation as serious abuse, no legislation has been passed on the practice concerning boys.
With no clear rules on male circumcision, doctors carrying out the procedure as well as parents may be slapped with abuse charges.
With the Ministry of Health and Social Services having punted after 7 years of deliberations, it is now up to Migration Minister Astrid Thors to put together the guidelines on circumcision for the public health clinics--while many doctors, police officials and NGOs oppose the procedure.
Again, Muslims and Jews find themselves in the same boat.
A group has filed the “Male Genital Mutilation Bill” with the Massachusetts Legislature. It calls for a ban on circumcision for males under 18, unless medically necessary, and with no religious exemptions. There will be a public hearing for the bill, S. 1777, at the State House in Boston on Tuesday, March 2 at 1 p.m. in Hearing Room 1A.
Of course, there have been anti-circumcision movements before, but most Jews historically have continued the religious practice of circumcision even under the threat of death. The leader of this current initiative, Matthew Hess, president of the group called the Bill to End Male Genital Mutilation, was quoted in the Boston Herald (February 21, 2010) as saying “circumcision is painful and unnecessary, violates a baby’s human rights and decreases sexual sensation in mature males.”
Because we see the proposed ban as a violation of religious freedom, we feel it will undoubtedly not pass into law. But these types of claims need to be answered.
Jews have circumcised tens of millions of their infant sons for over 3,000 years with few complications and without the dire pain, trauma, and other horrible effects claimed by opponents of circumcision.
Medical research has proven neonatal circumcision provides a lifetime of medical benefits, yet the anti-cirumcisionists claim the medical benefits of circumcision are unproven. The American Academy of Pediatrics published reports on circumcision from 1971-1989 questioning the medical benefits, but as research advanced, their latest report in 1999 documented that neo-natal circumcision offered protection against six medical problems: urinary tract infection, penile cancer, STDs (Sexually Transmitted Diseases) and HIV/AIDS infection, Balanoposthisis (infections of the glans), Phimosis (failure of the foreskin to retract) and genital hygiene.
Since then, the scientific data has only strengthened the case for these benefits. Most dramatic is the growing evidence that circumcision helps prevent HIV/AIDS. Recent studies have confirmed circumcision has the ability to reduce transmission of HIV/AIDS by 50-60 percent or more.
The same mechanism that helps protect men from infection with the HIV virus causing AIDS also helps prevent infection with Human Papillomavirus (HPV), which causes penile cancer in men and cervical cancer in women. As a result, Jewish women have a very low rate of cervical cancer. Long before Gardasil, a vaccine that has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration to prevent cervical cancer in females between the ages of 9 and 26 years of age, the Torah prescribed a proven vaccine for cervical cancer.
What parent wouldn’t want their child to receive these benefits?
But what about the claims of “horrible” pain? Anyone attending a traditional Jewish circumcision (bris milah) will note that the baby begins to cry when the diaper is opened to the cooler air. The baby is comforted in the sandek’s (G-dfather’s) lap and given gauze with wine to suck on. The circumcision usually takes only 20-30 seconds, and the baby is shortly asleep.
Admittedly, the procedure used in most hospitals is more traumatic, but severe pain is neither a religious nor medical necessity. Many doctors and hospitals have begun adopting the traditional Jewish techniques, although they are still not as quick as an experienced mohel.
An infant’s vaccination shots are also painful and might cause more crying than a circumcision. Would the proponents of this ban also ban parents’ rights to have their children vaccinated or treated with other painful procedures they deem necessary until the child is 18?
The claim of reduced sexual sensitivity is also not supported by data. The claims are purely anecdotal, and the few discredited studies that claimed to show this were also only anecdotal and badly structured. Both physical testing before and after analysis of adult circumcisions have shown no reduction of sexual sensitivity from circumcision.
The evidence is clear that neonatal circumcision offers positive medical benefits to males, both as infants and in later adult life. The data is also clear that there is no physiological reduction of sexual sensation or performance associated with neonatal circumcision.
The medical benefit of circumcision is not of religious significance to a believing Jew’s decision to have a bris for a newborn son, but obviously, a parent would be concerned if the net effect were negative. Fortunately, G-d created a benevolent universe.
Throughout history, skeptics and opponents of Torah have made claims like these only to have researchers demonstrate a medical or other type benefit resulting from the performance of a mitzvah – a commandment of G-d. This coincides with a traditional phrase used by our sages that “only good and no harm can come of doing a mitzvah.”
For a Jew, the question shouldn’t be “What is the medical benefit of circumcision?” Rather, circumcision should be performed as a commandment of G-d and as a sign of G-d, affecting the family for generations to come.
But it’s nice to know it is actually good for you.
Abu Mazen AKA Abbas Wants You To Pay For the Church of the Nativity that he BROKE
good move by the Fakestinians. The Church has been acting like idiots lately. Why wouldn't they agree to pay the covert Jizya tax?
In 2002, 'Palestinian' terrorists seized the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem and held priests and monks inside hostage for more than a month. The terrorists were eventually routed by the IDF and were expelled to several overseas destinations, but not before they had looted and destroyed much of the church's interior.
Now, the 'Palestinian Authority' would like you to make amends for the terrorists' despicable behavior. Seeing as the Middle East synod was so supportive of the 'Palestinian' cause, the 'Palestinians' would like to give European taxpayers the opportunity to pay for the repair of the Church of the Nativity. As a 'feel good' bonus, you would also be able to tell yourselves that you are putting 'Palestinians' back to work for the first time since the 'Palestinian Authority' forced them to quit their (higher paying) jobs working for the evil, Jewish 'settlers.'
The Palestinian Authority has announced plans to conduct a restoration project at the Nativity Church in Bethlehem, which its own terrorists damaged eight years ago. There's even more cynicism in this project. Read the whole thing.
Funding for the project will not come from the existing PA budget, and officials are hoping to get donations from European countries and the Arab world for the project.
Ziad Bandak, a PA official involved in the project, told Associated Press writer Mohammed Daraghmeh that the restoration will be the first at the site since it was built in the fourth century. Rain has caused damage to the roof and other parts of the building, Bandak said.
The building was also damaged in 2002 when it was used by PA terrorists in a standoff with Israeli soldiers. Monks who managed to escape during the standoff with help from IDF troops reported that the terrorists had beaten Christian clergymen and had stolen crosses and prayer books.
Terrorists also started a fire at the site that cost tens of thousands of dollars' worth of damage, and left behind dozens of explosive devices.
Twelve suspected Al-Qaeda militants arrested

Islamabad, 27 Oct. (AKI) - Police in Turkey have arrested 12 people suspected of aiding Al-Qaeda insurgents battling NATO forces in Afghanistan, according to a Wednesday report in Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.
The arrests were made in the Turkish capital Istanbul and Van, a predominately Kurdish city in the east.
Following the arrests, police seized explosives and documents they say prove that the alleged militants were planning an attack in Turkey.

Tsunami, Volcano Kill at Least 300 in Indonesia

A thick layer of dust coated villages on the Indonesian island of Java after Mount Merapi began spewing lava and ash on Tuesday. Residents who were evacuated have started returning to their homes, despite uncertainty over continued volcanic activity in the mountain. At least 30 people have been confirmed dead. Mount Merapi last erupted in 2006.
Indonesia is also grappling with the effects of yesterday's devastating tsunami, triggered by a 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Sumatra. The death toll has risen to at least 272, with more than 400 people still missing. Rescue efforts are underway, but some of the affected areas, including remote islands, are not easily accessible.
Some say an early warning system, built in the aftermath of the devastating 2004 tsunami, failed to work properly, leaving locals with inadequate time to flee the path of the tsunami.

Obama easing restrictions on child soldiers?
On Monday, the Obama administration waived sections of a law meant to prevent the recruitment of child soldiers in Africa, paving the way for new military cooperation with four countries with poor human rights records -- despite their use of underage troops.

"I hereby determine that it is in the national interest of the United States to waive the application to Chad, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, and Yemen of the prohibition in section 404(a) of the [Child Service Prevention Act]," President
Obama wrote in a memorandum to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
In 2008, President George W. Bush signed the law, which
prohibits U.S. military education and training, foreign military financing,
and other defense-related assistance to countries that actively recruit troops
under the age of 18. Countries are designated as violators if the State
Department's annual Trafficking in Persons report identifies them as recruiting child
soldiers.
The original bill was
actually sponsored by then Senator, now Vice President Joseph Biden. The only countries where the restrictions under this law are still in place are now Burma and Somalia.
The only reason provided in the memorandum was that Obama determined it was in the "national interest" to waive the law for those four countries.

Amir Makhoul is an outspoken critic of Israel's treatment of Palestinians
Why did the President and Congress insist on reinventing the wheel when it came to health care coverage?
