Islam Did Attack Us on September 11

Labels:
Al Qaeda drew its ideological support from the Muslim Brotherhood, the largest Muslim political group in the world. It and its allies drew on financial support from the governments of some of the world's largest and most influential Muslim countries in the world, including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. These are countries which compromise some 200 million Muslims.

I do not argue the evil hatred of Islam within the pretense of if I believe it or not. We consider an argument within it's own paradigm. Islam does not see itself as particularly relevant in the supernatural. to see Islam as Supernatural would be comparing two unlike things. Islam in the every day is a pedestrian ideology. It makes claims in a past tense, but it's aggression is now. There is no waiting for a messiah. Islam is proactive. Islam brings the messiah through violence. that is why we do not consider it a religion. a Muslim suicide bomber is not waiting for a change in physics. The Islamic caliph and the slaughter of infidels, Jews, Homosexuals and whatever other atrocity these thoughts come from is a government. It is not waiting for a priest on a rope to go into a holy of hollies. Islam is now. Islam is at a shopping mall... it is at Sbaros Pizza... it is at the World Trade Center. It is not Supernatural in it's implementation. It's wrong doers are not illiterate like mid-evil Christians. If anything an educated Muslim is a lot more dangerous then an illiterate one. Islam has made an argument of a supernatural past, but it does not wait for change peacefully. As such it is not a religion

What exactly did Ovadia Yosef say?

Labels:
this news piece is already a week old, has been proven to be a lie and is the worst kind of slander in that it takes a man's words out of context. but those that enable Islam are pushing this narrative... and we shouldn't be shocked because Palestine is exactly the same kind of fiction:
The initial reports over the weekend claimed that former Sephardic Chief Rabbi Ovadia Yosef called for a genocide against all Palestinian Arabs, wishing the plague on Mahmoud Abbas and all other Palestinians.
The New York Times said

he described the Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas, as “evil” and called on God to strike “these Ishmaelites and Palestinians with a plague; these evil haters of Israel.”

YNet originally reported and translated the sermon this way:
Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef Saturday night wished death on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his people, who he called "evil enemies of Israel."
During his weekly lesson, held at the synagogue near his house in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Har-Nof, the rabbi mentioned the blessing said at the Rosh Hashana feast that says, "May our enemies and adversaries be destroyed", and applied it to the current situation. "Abu Mazen (Abbas) and all those evil men – may they perish from this world. May God Almighty strike them and these Palestinians."

Today, however, YNet has changed the translation - after the entire world has already been convinced that Rabbi Yosef is a genocidal maniac.
Today's story says:

Ovadia, who heads the Shas religious party in Israel's ruling coalition, expressed hope in his weekly sermon Saturday that "all the evil people who hate Israel, like Abu Mazen (Abbas), perish from our world."
"May God strike them down with the plague along with all the evil Palestinians who persecute Israel," he said.
This is much different from what was originally reported. This is not a call for genocide; it is a call for God to strike down Israel's enemies - a much different story and very much in line with daily prayers.
Is this another case of an overzealous media mistranslating (or, in the case of Israel's anti-religious media, misreporting) the words of the religious?
I cannot find the text of the sermon online, so I can't say for sure, but it sure looks like the media again placed their own preconceived notions of Jewish "extremism" ahead of an accurate story.

Time Magazine Consistency?

Labels:
TIME, not so much:

Which is weird, because just a year ago TIME was explaining how Israelis would never achieve quiet if they continued “punishing Hamas.” The magazine’s insistence mirrored earlier media condescension about Israel’s security barrier: “suicide bombers will just climb over it – duh!The cover for that “punishing Hamas” article, by the by?

At the time some people suggested that the cover was some kind of typical “Jews = Nazis” slur, where the barbed wire imposed on the Star of David was some kind of concentration camp allusion. Other people insisted that TIME would never stoop so low as to equate Israeli tactics and Nazi tactics. June 1982:

A few more charming TIME covers in that vein here and here. How genuinely pleasant to realize that, even in our era of media upheaval and disintegration, there’s still some consistency to be found.
I'm still in a deep meditation as to what this magazine is actually thinking.
(A) We can't win... but (B) we don't want peace. or maybe (C) Time Magazine just doesn't like Jews? I'm guessing (C)

As we approach the Jewish New Year 5771, the Jewish state is again under attack. Middle East figures call for the eradication of Israel while a global campaign is underway to delegitimize the nation, her leaders, army and society.
Unfortunately many in the mainstream media play a role in this alarming delegitimization, not least of all the mainstream media outlet, Time Magazine. In its Sept. 13 edition, Time shocked many readers with a cover image of a large Magen David (Jewish star) comprised of daisies with the title "Why Israel Doesn't Care About Peace." The article by newly appointed Jerusalem Bureau Chief Karl Vick, while not quite as slanderous as the cover, nevertheless contains fallacies and invokes anti-Semitic stereotypes of Israeli Jews for whom money is allegedly paramount, more important than concern for "the Arabs who used to live on this land." Accompanied by numerous photographs of Israelis lounging at the beach, in the park and in cafes, the piece suggests on the basis of a few interviews with Tel Aviv yuppies and left-wing academics and journalists, that Israel's current successful economy and previous failures in peace negotiations have made Israelis hestitant about embarking on new negotiations with the Palestinians. A very abbreviated version of the article is available online.
Why did Time choose to sensationalize a vapid article with such offensive imagery and such a defamatory headline?
On his CNN television program, "Reliable Sources," host Howard Kurtz asked Time Managing Editor Richard Stengel just that:
But the headline is a bit of a marketing gimmick, because it suggests that Israel doesn't want to participate in the peace process, despite the meetings that started this week in Washington. And when you read the story it's as you described. So, obviously, you're trying to draw people in with a provocative headline?
Stengel who had proclaimed the piece "a kind of conceptual scoop," acknowledged that the headline was meant to provoke (and presumably, by extension, to sell more magazines), justifying it by suggesting it may be true:
Yes, it's provocative headline, it's provocative thesis. I mean, there are plenty of people who argue, as you know, Howie, that, in fact, Netanyahu is just giving the appearance that he actually wants peace, and to negotiate, because really he wants the U.S. to help him with Iran. And that may in fact be true.
Of course, the employment of anti-Semitic tropes is not new to Time magazine. A profile of Israeli leader Menachem Begin during the 1977 Camp David negotiations, began by flippantly invoking Dickens' Jewish villain in Oliver Twist ("Begin rhymes with Fagin").
The Wall Street Journal's Bret Stephens recalls this in his analysis of Time's striking departure from ethical journalism.
Victor Davis Hanson also weighs in on the article's anti-Semitic stereotyping on National Review's blog, "The Corner."
Phyllis Chesler analyzes the defamatory nature of the article here.
Why didn't Time choose to "provoke" with the far more truthful headline "Why the Palestinians Reject Peace" and an article that examined Palestinian rejectionism or their readiness to utilize deadly violence in place of peaceful negotiations?
It seems Time believes anti-Semitism, rather than truthful analysis, sells more magazines.
In an environment where Israelis and Jews are increasingly demonized as unworthy of possessing a sovereign state of their own, Time Magazine's decision to run the article and cover is not only a violation of journalistic standards of objectivity and accuracy, but an incitement to hatred.

Fidel Castro sells his legacy. Tries to recreate his world view.

THE TELEGRAPH: Fidel Castro has reportedly criticised Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the Iranian president, for what he called his anti-semitic [sic] attitudes.

Castro, who has been a fierce critic of Israel, reportedly chided Mr Ahmadinejad for denying the Holocaust, according to a blog on The Atlantic magazine.

The former Cuban leader said Iran could further the cause of peace by "acknowledging the 'unique' history of anti-Semitism and trying to understand why Israelis fear for their existence."

"I didn't know what a Jew was. I knew of a bird that was a called a 'Jew,' and so for me the Jews were those birds," Castro reportedly said. Castro later added, "This is how ignorant the entire population was."

Castro reportedly said: "I don't think anyone has been slandered more than the Jews. I would say much more than the Muslims." >>>

I was going to post this last night, but decided I didn't want to further this story. Fidel is concerned about his legacy as a bigot. His actions against Jews and Homosexuals speak for themselves. The leftist media however is as desperate to showcase this guy as reformed as much as Castro would like his legacy to be honored after his death. I wanted no part in furthering his narrative, but this story became so large that I could not avoid it.

Russia sells Syria supersonic Anti-Ship Missile

Labels: » » »

(Moscow) Taking no notice how the vast majority of weapons used by Middle-Eastern terrorist have the 'made in Russia' stamp on them. Russia has agreed to sell Syria P-800 Yakhont Anti Ship missiles stating that there was no evidence that these weapons would fall into the hands of Hezb-allah or even Hamas. That is until it is used by such and then everybody will blame the US and UK for arming terrorists never mind giving birth to them.

Meanwhile.... Israel and Russia recently signed a long term military cooperation agreement and are negotiating the establishment of a joint venture to develop and produce unmanned aerial vehicles in Russia. Israel’s minister of defense Ehud Barak and his host, Russian minister of defense, Anatoly Serdyukov signed a military cooperation agreement paving the way for tighter cooperation in the field of unmanned systems, counter terrorism and asymmetric, urban warfare.
“It is very important to us that in the transition to a new image, the Russian armed forces use the experience the Israeli armed forces have and the work they have done” Serdyukov said, adding Russia has bought 12 UAV systems from Israel, and 50 servicemen are currently being trained to operate them. The acquisition of Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) UAVs was one of the first procurements foreign systems completed by the Russians.
The twelve UAVs Russia has acquired were delivered by IAI off-the-shelf, to fulfill ad-hoc requirements for Russian military and Russian homeland security uses. Among the off-the-shelf available systems were two Bird Eye 400 systems, eight I-View MK150 tactical UAVs and two Searcher Mk II tactical short range UAVs. Some 50 Russian military servicemen are currently undergoing Israeli training in the use of these systems.
A second contract worth $100 million is expected to be delivered this year. In order to approve the deal, the Israel Ministry of Defense (MOD) required that IAI establish a Joint Venture with a Russian partner, to establish a UAV development and production center in Russia. Prospects for the Russian demand for such systems are estimated at $300 million. According to various estimates, the Russian military needs up to 100 UAVs and at least 10 guidance and control systems to ensure effective battlefield reconnaissance.
Russians were also after more advanced Israeli UAVs of the Heron 1 class, but after long deliberation Israel’s defense ministry decided to exclude such advanced systems as ‘too sensitive’ for transfer to the eastern bloc.
