Peace activists and human rights persons don't attack with knives and axes. there is no way anyone could spin that. there is no way to spin luxury hotels while they refuse to allow a hostage to see a humanitarian face. there is no way to spin the fact that this is the least efficient way to aid a population when in fact Israel is allowing aid to come in, but just need to inspect for weapons. think objectively. MLK and Mahatma Gandhi and their organizers never said that a media war wasn't going their way so they had to be violent.

Pictures of Weapons Found on the Mavi Marmara Flotilla Ship, 31 May 2010

Pictures of the weapons found on the Mavi Marmara ship where today, when IDF soldiers attempted to board the ship and redirect it to the Ashdod Port, the activists on board lynched the soldiers in a planned attack. They used knives, metal rods, firebombs and other weapons to attack the soldiers. The violence resulted in the deaths of nine activists and seven IDF soldiers were wounded in the process. All casualties were evacuated from the ship and taken to hospitals in Israel.
some mission of peace.

World Cup Genocide

Arabs are still upset over the problems with the Al Jazeera broadcast of the opening day of the World Cup, especially over Egypt's Nilesat satellite network, as well as continued problems during a Tuesday match.

Some Egyptians and Palestinian Arabs are accusing Israel, of course, for jamming the signal. From the Al Quds al Arabi article it appears that there is no evidence whatsoever for this charge, except for the conviction that they have that Israel wants to drive a wedge between different Arab countries and, apparently, jamming the World Cup would get Egypt and Qatar upset at each other.

While most officials are making these accusations by saying "we cannot rule out the possibility that Israel is behind the jamming, " Egyptian MP Mohsen Radi, who is also a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, made the accusation against Israel jamming the broadcasts explicitly.

Out of sheer spite, apparently.

Flotilla Revisionism

The Times apparently views any statement made by Israel or its supporters to be false until proven true beyond its ability to think up some excuse for not accepting it. After Israel released several videos showing Israeli soldiers arriving on the deck of the Mavi Marmara and being beaten by a large mob, it dismissed the footage as … “lacking context. Were they [the images] shot before or after the boarding party started using force?”

Yet one can clearly see on the video that the militants on the ship’s deck are calmly standing there, obviously not being fired upon, and the soldiers are holding onto the rope, with their guns slung over their shoulders.
Forced to retreat a bit — but never acknowledging its error — the Times editorialized: “The Israelis claim that Insani Yardim Vakfi is a dangerous organization with terrorist links. They have yet to offer any evidence to support that charge.”
But, of course, a vast amount of evidence had been released, including: documents showing the organization had been declared to have such links by, among other entities, the Danish government, France’s leading counterterrorism magistrate, a previous Turkish government, and the U.S. government.
All documents are easily available on the internet, but beyond the reach of the Times, apparently.

I keep on hearing from Arabists that they have their own sources that leave them to believe otherwise concerning the Mavi Marmara.  I have not seen these sources yet.  Perhaps they were referring to the doctored Reuters photos?  What is the argument?  I'm sure they will come up with one... I'm still waiting.  They did it to the WTC on 911... I'm sure they have experts working on a revision right now.

Gaza Flotilla

Who are these "activists," exactly? That seems to be something of a moving target. News outlets have been giving numbers ranging from 600 to 800, aboard either eight or nine ships, coming from such places as Greece, Algeria, Ireland and Turkey. The blockade busters include the requisite Nobel Peace laureate, Irishwoman Mairead Corrigan-Maguire. From Gaza, John Ging, head of the U.N.'s Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA) has strayed outside his theoretically apolitical brief in order to applaud the flotilla. The Free Gaza website features video messages offering a bon voyage from such hoary fixtures of the lynch-Israel gang as Noam Chomsky, and one of the U.N. Human Rights Council's favorite Israel-haters, Richard Falk. http://xrl.us/FlotillaRevisionism http://xrl.us/FlotillaFail

Under the heading "Donate" the Free Gaza site makes special mention of a "major donation" from Malaysia, "thanks to the passion for justice" of former Malaysian Prime Minister Mohamad Mahathir and his wife. An excited Al Jazeera reporter, in an English-language broadcast Thursday, made a point of mentioning contributions of some sort from Bahrain, Kuwait and Yemen. And among the cheerleaders for this effort is former British parliamentarian George Galloway, who perhaps has more time to devote to Hamas-run Gaza now that he no longer has the option of consorting with Iraq's late dictator, Saddam Hussein.

the Gaza flotilla isn't about human rights:
One would assume that these war protesters would be making a sacrifice for their protest voyage and would be staying in war ravaged residences or tents... after all they won't even help a father see their hostage son.  They must be roughing it...
see the rest of the sacrifice these hardy activists must endure at elderofziyon.blogspot.com

IDF Corporal Gilad Shalit was kidnapped by 'Palestinian' terrorists on June 25, 2006. Since then, all his family has received from him is one audiotape and one videotape. Not a single visit from the Red Cross or anyone else.

The Shalit family is desperate for word from their son. So they offered the 'activists' in the Gaza flotilla a deal: If the 'activists' would pressure Hamas to allow contact with and packages to be delivered to Shalit, the Shalit family would pressure the Israeli government to allow the 'flotilla' to land. Can you guess the response?
the IDF says it will transfer the humanitarian aid they contain to Gaza civilians, after the contents are checked.
their blood boats should pay the families of the victims of terrorism they enable
