Saudi's To Behead Lebanese Infidel Witch

Labels: » »

46 year old Mr Sibat, a married man and father of five children, made the mistake of not knowing enough about Saudi Arabia's past and present. Underestimating how much the religious authorties are stuck in previous centuries, he ventured to the Land of the Two Holy Places on a pilgrimage - the 'umra'.

It's believed that while there, the religious police, the 'Mutawa'een' recognised Mr Sibat from the TV show and arrested him. His lawyers say the police asked him to write down what he did for a living and assured him that if he did so he would be free to go back to Lebanon. Instead he was taken to court where, in a closed session, his statement was used against him as a confession. He was sentenced to death in Medina on November the 9th last year and the sentence was upheld on March the 10th.

The judges, in their wisdom, said that he deserved to be killed because the proof that he practiced sorcery was obvious to the millions of people who had seen his programmes, and that his actions made him 'an infidel'. They went on to say that the death sentence would act as a deterence to the increasing number of 'foreign magicians' entering the Kingdom.

What lies behind this sentence appears to be the nagging fear in the clerics that, beneath the solid foundations of Islam, there still exists in the region widespread superstitions which pre-date their faith.

In Europe, Christianity superimposed various beliefs on top of existing cultural norms and Europeans still engage in practices which are against the teaching of the Church. They did so even when the Church had a much tighter grip on society. It is no co-incidence that Christmas is celebrated in the deep midwinter and Easter in the spring. After all those months of cold and darkness the Europeans needed a reason to celebrate and the Christians were smart enough to keep the party, but give it a different name. The dates for the major Christian festivals are more to do with pagan beliefs than historical accuracy about the birth and death of Jesus. In a similar manner millions of Muslims cling on to pre Islamic beliefs including fortune telling and horsoscopes.

Thus Mr Sibat, perhaps unwittingly, offered a challenge to the very basis of Saudi Arabia and therefore it appears he must be killed.

Amnesty International (of which this writer is a member) has urged the Lebanese government to intervene, arguing that Mr Sibat 'appears to have been convicted solely for the peaceful exercise of his right to freedom of expression,"

That is true if you are in the 21st century, but false if you still believe in witchcraft and believe it offers a threat to a power structure which places you at the top. The court decision is both obvious and astonishing. Obvious for the reasons stated, astonishing in that a Lebanese man can be killed by the Saudi state for hosting a Lebanese TV show.

The clerics would like to kill satellite television, they are settling, this time, for killing someone for appearing on
satellite television.

Muhammed the tax collector

Labels: » » »

Jesus ushered in a new way of looking at taxes: he acknowledged the power of the state to collect it, but he worked to reform individual tax collectors by abandoning their sins, and Jesus never profited from taxes himself.

Muhammad, on the other hand…eschewed any separation between secular government and religious authority. Unlike the largely spiritual ministry of Jesus, Muhammad engaged in secular pursuits of business, warfare, and governance. The objectives of Muhammad and of Islam would soon necessitate the development of the Bayt al-Mal, or house of money, to serve as the treasury of the new Islamic state.

It was Muhammad who announced tax levies in the Koran including the zakat (9:60) and the jizya (9:29).

Muhammad also established tax rates. He declared rates of 2½ percent on goods and money (Sahih Bukhari 2.24.534), 10 percent on agricultural yields (Sahih Muslim 5.2143), and 20 percent on ghanima (Koran 8:42). He also established minimum taxable amounts (Sahih Bukhari 2. 24.487).

Muhammad personally appraised property to assess its taxable worth:

We took part in the holy battle of Tabuk in the company of the Prophet [Muhammad] and when we arrived at the Wadi-al-Qura, there was a woman in her garden. The Prophet asked his companions to estimate the amount of the fruits in the garden, and Allah’s Apostle estimated it at ten Awsuq. The Prophet said to that lady, “Check what your garden will yield”… [H]e asked that woman how much her garden had yielded. She said, “Ten Awsuq,” and that was what Allah’s Apostle had estimated. (Sahih Bukhari 2. 24.559)

Muhammad also supervised tax collections:

  • “Allah’s Apostle had taken the Jizya from the Magians of Hajar” (Sahih Bukhari 4.53.384)
  • “Allah’s Apostle sent Abu ‘Ubaida bin Al-Jarreh to Bahrain to collect the Jizya” (Sahih Bukhari 4.53.385).
  • “Allah’s Apostle (p.b.u.h) ordered (a person) to collect Zakat” (Sahih Bukhari 2.24.547)
  • “The Prophet appointed a man from the tribe of Al-Azd, called Ibn ‘Utbiyya for collecting the Zakat.” (Sahih Bukhari 3.47.769)

Muhammad personally received the ushr, jizya, and zakat tax payments:

  • The ushr: “Dates used to be brought to Allah’s Apostle immediately after being plucked. Different persons would bring their dates till a big heap collected (in front of the Prophet)” (Sahih Bukhari 2.24.562).
  • The jizya: “Money from Bahrain was brought to the Prophet . He said, ‘Spread it in the Mosque.’” (Sahih Bukhari 4.53.390).
  • The zakat on flocks & herds: “I saw in the hand of Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) an instrument for cauterisation and he was cauterising the caracia collected as Zakat” (Sahih Muslim 24.5288).

It’s remarkable enough that Muhammad engaged in tax collecting, but even more so for the favor he bestowed upon other individuals involved in the tax process. Muhammad’s tax emissary to Bahrain, Abu ‘Ubaida bin Al-Jarrah, was one of Muhammad’s ten favorite people who was guaranteed to enter paradise. Muslims have glorified Ubaida for his role in building the Islamic state. Notice the bags of gold on this hagiographic book cover in honor of the Prophet’s taxing companion:

Keith Ellison and friends commit Ethnic Cleansing Treason

The East Jerusalem expansions are not in accordance with international law," US Rep. Keith Ellison told Arab News Wednesday. "East Jerusalem is a land that was acquired by conquest and occupation, and UN resolutions are clear; international law is clear - you cannot use warfare to expand your territories and colonize another country.

Only one party ethnically cleanses Jerusalem and it was not Israel. Jordan illegally occupied the country in 1948. There was the only occupation. The people of Jerusalem were mostly Jewish. The future of Jerusalem was to be decided by vote in the mandate before Jordan illegally took over with totalitarian rule and a xenophobic violent government. Keep in mind that the Saudis supported Hitler till 1945 and only changed their allegiance when it was clear he was losing. Why would we allow these men to lie in foreign governments. This is not the people of the United States speaking. Ellison represents a violent hypocritical interest.
vote for Lynne Torgerson in Minnesotta.
She wouldn't have a human right where Ellison is speaking.
Did Ellison ask where are the churches in Saudi Arabia? Where are the synagogues? Where are the uncovered women? Hell, where are the women who drive?

Canadian Library Association brainwashes children to Terrorize Jews

Labels:
“Reading this book made me want to go to Palestine and kill Israelis,” commented a teenaged girl who “likes Jews” and has attended three Bat Mitzvahs. Her comments on the book she refers to The Shepherd’s Granddaughter by Anne Laurel Carter – can be found on the book-promoting goodreads.com web site.

On the same site, another young student who read it compared the Israeli regime to Nazis. As a quick read of the book shows, The Shepherd’s Granddaughter is a work of fiction based on the political situation in the West Bank that demonizes the Jewish state, presenting a completely one-sided, pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel view with absolutely no balance or background information. For example, in the novel, the Israelis poisoned the likeable Palestinian protagonist’s sheep for no reason, and the driver of a bulldozer tried to run her over. The Palestinians are portrayed as completely innocent and helpless victims, while the cruel Israelis pursue a goal of ethnic cleansing.

Recognized as a Book of the Year for children by the Canadian Library Association (CLA) and nominated for the prestigious Red Maple Award 2010 (geared to grades 7 and 8) of the Ontario Library Association (OLA), The Shepherd’s Granddaughter is highly recommended by Toronto District School Board (TDSB) teachers and librarians. The Jewish Tribune, after seeing Henry’s letter, picked up the book – which was in high demand – at a local library. There were 44 copies of the book in circulation in Toronto libraries and only one was available.
